Safe and Reliable Moth Treatment Services in Portland

Our Professional Carpet & Rug Moth Treatment Process

Our proven process combines careful inspection, specialized cleaning, targeted treatment, and preventive recommendations to eliminate active infestations while protecting delicate fibers. Every step is customized to the condition, construction, and material of your rug for long-lasting results.

Detailed Inspection

We begin by examining your rug for larvae, eggs, feeding patterns, fiber damage, and infestation severity. The inspection helps us determine the safest and most effective professional carpet moth treatment for your specific rug.

Deep Cleaning & Preparation

Before treatment, we thoroughly clean the rug to remove dust, debris, and organic matter that attract larvae. This step drastically improves treatment effectiveness while restoring the overall cleanliness and condition of the rug.

Targeted Treatment & Moth Removal

Using professional-grade textile-safe solutions, we perform thorough moth removal by targeting larvae and eggs hidden deep within rug fibers. Our process is designed to eliminate active infestations without compromising delicate wool or specialty textiles.

Final Inspection & Protection Guidance

After treatment, we complete a final quality inspection and provide practical storage and maintenance recommendations to help reduce future infestations and keep your rugs protected for years to come.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t say enough good things about this rug cleaning company! I brought them a wool rug that had been through a lot—my dog had been sick, and I truly thought the urine stains and smell were beyond saving. I was ready to throw it out. But Nolan, the owner, worked his magic! The stains are completely unnoticeable now, and the odor is completely gone. It smells fresh and looks beautiful again. I’m so grateful for their professionalism, attention to detail, and the care they put into restoring something I thought was lost. Highly recommend!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were so happy with Portland Rug Cleaning services! Nathan's prices were lower than the other two companies in the Milwaukie-Portland area, and he cleaned and dried our handmade wool rug within 3 days of when we dropped it off. He educated us about how the rug had been made and how he would go about cleaning and drying it, and that helped us to appreciate the value of the cost of that service. We also bought a high-quality waterproof rug pad from him, which he cut to the correct size for our rug. I will definitely take our other wool rugs to him when the time comes to clean them. Very cool building and equipment, we were very happy to give a local business person our business-- thanks for the great experience Nathan!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As the owner, Nolan takes extreme pride in every aspect of cleaning your rugs or furniture. He also brings years of experience about all facets of upholstery and carpet. In 2020 we bought two beautiful, off-white matching couches for our living room and then we added a dog to the household. We thought we were going to have to replace the couches. Thanks to Nolan, the couches look brand new.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nolan is great! I had a bunch of area rugs that had pet stains and general dirt, and he got them looking brand new! And, the best part is he steam cleaned some of my couches and I don't know if he has different equipment or technique or what, but he did a much better job than couch cleaners I have hired in the past. With other cleaners, the same couch would be weirdly soaked and wrinkled and have a weird chemical smell for days. With Nolan, it didn't have a smell at all, looked super clean and amazingly dried really fast! Will definitely hire him again!!

Moth Treatment FAQs

How much does professional moth treatment cost?

The cost depends on factors such as the rug's size, material, condition, and the severity of the infestation. After inspecting your rug, we provide an honest, transparent estimate with no unnecessary services, ensuring you receive the most effective treatment for your investment.

How long does moth treatment take?

Treatment times vary depending on the number of rugs, the level of infestation, and the cleaning requirements. Most projects are completed within a few days, allowing adequate time for inspection, treatment, and final quality checks before your rugs are returned.

Is moth treatment safe for wool and antique rugs?

Yes. Our treatment methods are carefully selected to protect delicate fibers, including wool, silk, Oriental, and antique rugs. Every rug is evaluated individually, and we use textile-safe products and proven techniques to preserve its beauty, structure, and long-term durability.

Can you treat rugs already in storage?

Absolutely. Rugs removed from storage can be inspected and treated if signs of infestation are present. Addressing the issue before placing them back into storage helps prevent additional damage and protects other natural-fiber textiles in your home.
